Alcoholic beverages are that subset of Αλκοόλ, weak and medium strength, which can not be used as potion bases. They are strictly for Γκέραλτ's drinking pleasure, to be used as Δώρα, or are quest requirements.

Beer is an excellent choice for the many Διαγωνισμός Ποτού in The Witcher. It is far less strong than the hard alcohols, making Γκέραλτ's chances of winning much greater.
