At the beginning of Chapter II, Γκέραλτ finds himself prisoner in the Vizima jail in the Συνοικία του Ναού. Among his fellow prisoners is an elven convict who has been sentenced to death and is awaiting execution. Even facing imminent death, the convict offers to pass the time with Γκέραλτ playing dice poker, providing a chance for the witcher play a novice-level opponent.
Additionally, if for some reason Γκέραλτ was not introduced to the game during Chapter I, playing the elven convict launches the dice quest.
